Workshop Services

Facilities provide for inspection, repair, maintenance and testing of fire, safety and lifesaving equipment.

Specialist workshops allow for the calibrating measurement of pressure containing vessels, to the relevant safety standards and the recertification of various safety equipment to either the manufacturer or independent standard.

As work is carried out by experienced highly trained multi disciplined personnel to documented procedures controlled under our quality accreditation to ISO 9001.2000.

Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions provide full extinguisher service facilities.

Gas Cylinder refurbishment / Re-certification

With a fully automated cylinder refurbishment plant, which comprises of a twin wheelabrator that blasts to an SA 2 ½ finish and profile to enable the paint to quay to the cylinders together with a hydraulic test rig.

The capability exists to handle a diverse range of extinguishers and gas cylinders. With many of the items being returned to a hostile or exposed environment, the quality of the paint finish meets client requirements.

Refill facilities exist for all common makes of fire equipment. Where practical, contents are recycled, minimising environmental impact.

Hydrostatic Testing

The test facility within the refurbishment workshop has the capability to test cylinders 0.5 – 1000 litre water capacity, and pressure up to 500 bar G testing is carried out.

Halon Banking

State of the art licensed reclamation and recycling plant/bank for Halon 1301. Our facility fully satisfies all current environmental legislation and we are founder members of the Halon Users National Consortium (HUNC)

Maintaining security of customer supply, onward resale and disposal service including stock control to monitor customer inventory.

Carbon Dioxide and Halon 1301 gases are stocked, allowing for a rapid refill of fire system cylinders

Kelly Tubes

Up to 2000 litre Helium storage tubes situated on board diving support vessels (DSV) can be Hydro tested, dried out, internally shot blasted to B55430 PTI.

Cylinders in frames consisting of 645 – 485. 16 x 12 case quads can be stripped, retested, refurbished and rebuilt into existing frame

Hire Stock /  Service Exchange

Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions can provide temporary equipment cover from our extensive range of hire stock, while equipment is repaired or replaced.
